About Homeschool Planet

Homeschool Planet is a new resource for families who home school. Our goal is to provide a warm and friendly place for parents and their kids to find useful and fun tools to help with all of their home schooling endeavors. While this site was created with home schooling in mind, any parent or teacher who wants to play an active role in a child's education is welcome here.

My wife and I have been home schooling our children for five years. Early in 2006 we decided to create a website devoted to home schooling. There are so many home schooling resources available on the Internet, why would we want to create another one?

As I write this, I'm doing yet another Google search for "homeschool". The websites returned by the search seem to be nothing more than large shopping lists, or long lists of links to other websites. What we want is something we can use right now to print out daily math, vocabulary, spelling, and other worksheets for our kids. We want them to be able to do fun and safe learning activities online. We want these features to be easy to use but comprehensive. And we want it all in one place that's simple to navigate.

Does Homeschool Planet meet all of these expectations? Not yet. But our goal is clear, and the journey is just beginning.

If you would like to be notified when new features are available, please sign in or register a new account (it's free), and check the "Receive update notifications" box.

Thank you for visiting.

Sincerely,

Dave and Angie Carlile
